Gday all. Well my new board cam has arrived after 3 weeks of travel by slow boat from china. Connected it all up today and found that it is only monochrome, I think its because of the capture gathering card I bought no S Video lead on it, maybe, I do not know. But at least it works. All I need to do is extend the OSD controller cable so it can be operated easier. I am surprised on how much more light/seeing power it has over a normal webcam, can even use my focal reducer without having to add a barlow on it. Was going to do a broadcast this weekend, but Murphy's law said no, cant do that as we have a huge rain depression coming in over southeast Queensland (SEQ), OH BUGGER. expecting anything upto 200mm of rain over night till Saturday night. Will see what happens next week, maybe just a brief broadcast sometime. If anyone can shed some light on the colour situation I'd be happy. Easier capture card/stick
try the link Board Cam
This cam is only a temporary one, hopefully next month I will be upgrading to a ZWO or something similar, depending on price here in OZ or if someone has a cam they would like to sell. This weekends weather radar Cheers Steve OOPS thought the links would work bugger hopefully that has fixed it

Steve, you haven't told us what Board cam it is. The technical minded people reading this will need to know exactly the make and model number so they can answer you. And Yes, we are in for some disastrous weather this weekend here in the eastern side of Oz
