Hi to the creators of the new NSN, here is my feedback.
As far as I can see, there are a total of 4 forum rules. And half of them(!) relate to the mention of other night sky broadcasting stations. In a very sharp tone, in case of a violation of these rules, "capital punishment", so to speak, is threatened, namely the deletion of the message in question and, in case of repetition, exclusion from the forum. I would just like to express my great dismay at this kind of rule. If this characterises the atmosphere we have to expect on this website, then I would rather not be a member in the long run. I don't think you have to worry about other websites with similar content being mentioned here, because it is, at least for the majority of members I assume, a question of tact not to do so. Just like a wife who, in the presence of her husband, doesn't usually talk about how great she thinks other men are.
Therefore, I would like to kindly ask you to consider revising these rules. Other than that, I can only wish you success with the new site.

Gday Heinz,
Welcome to the Forum.
I have removed the rules you speak of as they are no longer applicable. But to understand why they were there, this forum started during a very troublesome time with ownership of the Broadcasting site name.
If you are not familiar with what happened back then, there were 2 sites called Night Skies Network and a major dispute over who had the ownership of the name. Unfortunately it became very messy and some people chose to bad mouth people for joining this forum, so the obvious solution was to remove posts that contained personal attacks.
It is common practice with Forums to restrict or ban certain subjects, with threat of removal. In this case it was to prevent the Site name ownership dispute from being a bigger problem and to keep it out of here.
