Got my mojo back. Been watching a few broadcasts over last couple of days and the new nsn looks great,, easy set up to view and getting my own channel.. Maybe a while before I broadcast or try lol..weather in my part of Scotland has been ridiculous for so long now I packed away my kit. But was great sitting in with Mike on his first broadcast getting shown the ropes with Ken Jim, cc,jarod ect Hopefully more broadcasters will jump in and do some broadcasting when they get clear nights

No I signed up in the new nsn site.. I've called it brigadoon Scotland,, when I ever get all set up,, tidy up flat ,, move craft stuff to give me some room..
I will set up the heq5, with twin saddle, use my evostar ed80 and William optics zenithstar 61 to get me going in the flat. Going to use the new computer as my main astro computer,, stick on cdc, eqmod, zwo ,byeos ect, so I can take out on mobile set up when weather settles,, getting second storm front tomorrow 5am apparently,, snow ect,, was blowing a hooley last night,, was like the apocalypse all we needed was the four horsemen riding up the street

OK, cool davy.
How registraion works is when you apply using the 'Sign Up' in the new NSN site you should receive an email, and that email will ask you to click on the confirmation link.
For some weird reason the email usually arrives in the Junk folder, so check there.

I'm OK on new nsn,, just Facebook need accepted. One of the Scottish folk was saying that, he hardly seen anyone on nsn and asked same question I had,, how many on nsn,, Think the lack of broadcasters may slow folk down from joining or even popping in to see if there is a broadcast.
Can you relay this to Joe.. see if he can shed some light

Easy answer davy. Time is probably the biggest factor, then weather. Then availability. Here's an example: For me, in my Time Zone, to catch a broadcast in USA I have to check NSN between about 1pm and 6pm. And that is hoping that Broadcasters in the USA have good weather, often none or little Moon, and are available to do a broadcast in a busy life. Lots of broadcasters have jobs and can only broadcast on Friday and Saturday nights, IF the weather and sky is good. Outside those hours is even harder. When I do a Broadcast myself I may get 1 or 2 New Zealanders for the first part, then around 2am I start getting USA viewers as they get up for breakfast and some head off to work, then about 3am I start getting maybe 1 or 2 UK viewers arriving home from work and a few more USA viewers (west coast). And then it is time for me to pack up. The more people that sign up to broadcast, the more broadcasts there will be. Tell them if they sign up as a broadcaster themselves there will be more broadcasts for all of us to watch. Waiting until there are more broadcasters, then signing up, is backwards. It would be great if we could look up a program guide like we do with Television, but it's pretty much impossible. I know from personal experience announcing broadcasts weeks, or even sometimes only days ahead, doesn't work when life or the weather gets in the way and cancels our plans. I would love to be able to look up a program schedule and see who will be on when, but our hobby doesn't allow such luxuries
