LOL!!!! That's a Canon 5d DSLR that he is freezing But it all works fantastic. Bert takes the Deepest Amatuer Images. Notice in the photo he is using an old black EQ6 modified with belt drive It's accuracy is perfect and NO backlash or periodic error!

"Cable ripping" during a rogue slew or meridian flip, is nature's way of protecting the mount, apparently, to not delay its going to wherever it thought it wanted to go. My very very last GOTO, after the flip rip, Saturn was dead center of the finder scope.......the screen of course was black.........the sammy had lost both power and video cable on that one.
