You all know me for what I do and that is I really Love Amateur Astronomy, I love the educational end of it I love the Fun end of it and most of all I love the Therapeutic part of this Hobby. I have two Daughters ages 11 and 12 that just can't grasp the idea that we are looking into the past when we see these beautiful images that we all come up with. You all know that in real life the tools will better define a profession but in Astronomy that tool is the software we use to show our images and as most of you know I use enough software to get my images no matter what camera I use.
I will say that we are close to a start date for www.nightskiesnetwork.com I will have a better idea after I meet with the developer later tonite but I'm excited as I hope all of you are also. I know I keep saying this but I truly appreciate the patience all of you have had.
All the images below were taken with my Canon modded 40D If you have any questions please ask.
How did the meeting with the Developer go? I'm sure we'd all like to know
Cheers, Ken

Can't wait for it to happen Joe, hope the new NSN dot com will totally redefine to the world what an online astronomy club should be. THanx for the work and time you are putting into this!
First of all thank you for all of your hard work that you have been putting into this wonderful dream we all have of a new NSN.com with a lot of much needed improvements. I hope your meeting went very well yesterday and it is amazing of your energy you have when we were Skyping yesterday even though you have the flu. I hope you are feeling much better today.
Your images with the 40D mod are truly nice with great details. We will experiment soon with taking bias frames in order to deal with the horizontal lines that are inherent with the older Canon CMOS sensors and apply them using Astrotoaster.
They look pretty good Joe. The stars are a bit blobby but that could be due to high magnification. The stars don't matter anyway, just look at the detail in those galaxies!!!
Nice work Looking forward to seeing what you can do with the ASI 1600.

Finally after 3 nights of the weatherman telling me we would be clear and all we had were clouds I finally got first light on the ASI1600, I did do other objects but software issues were a major headache all night. This image of M57 was About 25 stacks of 8 seconds, being new to the software I had a hard time pulling better color but maybe tonights broadcast will improve this image.
these shots were taken last night right before the clouds rolled in, both were done with the Ifinity Camera and my 14" telescope. Thanks for everyone that came on my broadcast we really had a great time.
Once again Clear skies but the moon had to but it's two cent int this broadcast but I Used the Idas filter on the bubble and then switched over to the HA filter and it still looked good. Then we tried the Iris and sort of wished I would of stacked about 20 of these but I was just going from object to object.
Isn't it amazing the objects that can still be captured with a lot of Moon trying to spoil the show. Well done!
Cheers, Ken

Hello all, Last night was a very productive night, I was using my 10"RC with the ZWO-1600c Camera at F8. I grabbed two images as usual M57 at about 8 sec. 40 stacked and the Eastern Veil at 30sec. 40 stacked. I would like to thank all the viewers and friends that helped with my settings. Don I'm glad you were on to help out I would of never gotten these images to look so good without your assistance in the settings.
